Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel
Speaking their lines vs the final product
Why is Vin Diesel looking down? Is he worried he’s gonna forget his line?
Vin Diesel asked the director his inspiration for every line he did and did multiple takes until he was satisfied. He also recorded the line over 1,000 times and also recorded his lines in Mandarin, Portuguese, French, and Spanish so they could use his real voice in those versions. He’s looking at his lines because Vin Diesel is a dedicated motherfucking professional.
And then he showed up at the LA premiere like this:
Vin Diesel is so fantastic every time I hear people mock him I just want to be like “excuse you, do you know of any other multi-racial actor in Hollywood who’s fronted a blockbuster franchise featuring an unashamedly multi-cultural cast full of primarily non-white actors, and who has done it unapologetically over and over again for *seven* installments? NO, YOU DON’T, SIT THE FUCK DOWN.”

Vin Diesel makes goofy movies like The Pacifier so he can keep making Riddick movies. He even went so far as to found Tigon Studios to make sure the Riddick video game was good (it was awesome).
I love Vin Diesel!
In high school and college, when Vin Diesel really rose to box office prominence, I used to hate Vin Diesel because he seemed like the kind of dumb macho guy that A. made fun of me a lot and B., well, A’s enough, isn’t it?
And then he went on “The Tonight Show” and talked in depth about his high school life as a hardcore D&D player. So. I’m on board with Vin Diesel now. And also, like, don’t judge people by how they look.
i don’t even care about the gifs. reblogging for the comments and cause Vin is my boy.
whoa i learned things

THIS IS LITERALLY MY FAVORITE VINE
HIS LITTLE SCREAM
He could be me: “Watch the food man!”
Aliens was a revelation to me when I was a kid.
As soon as the actual action started, what immediately struck me was that every woman onscreen had her shit absolutely together, and every man (with the exception of Corporal Hicks, Bishop and Apone) was a complete walking clusterfuck.
Moreover, as in this .gifed scene, the narrative itself made it explicit that the only way the men were going to survive was by emulating the women.
And even though I was still just a dipshit kid when I first saw this, I didn’t pull on an MRA fedora and whine about my gender being portrayed in such an unflattering light, because even then, I immediately recognized, “This is what it’s like for women to watch literally every other sci-fi action film. Well played, movie.”
Ripley was one of my most important role models when I was a child/teenager. As was Vasquez, as well as Sarah Connor from Terminator (T2 in particular). They showed me, that I can be tough and awesome as a woman. I always preferred to dress up as cowboy or pirate on Halloween, while most of my female friends dressed as fairy or princess. There were parents who actually asked my mother “how she could permit that”. I’m very VERY happy, my parents let me be Ripley and hunt Aliens when I wanted to.

It’s amazing the impact this second-long video made in my life
There needs to be more
The more often you watch it, the better it gets
Lightning Appreciation Post:
- There are nearly 500 lightning strikes every second around the world.
- Only about 100 of these strike the earth, the others are between and within the clouds themselves.
- Lightning is very visible from space (last gif from Astronaut Reid Wiseman)
- Besides regular storms (thunder storms, hurricanes, etc.) lightning can be found in volcanoes (gif 3) and even intense forest fires.
In conclusion: nature is fucking awesome!
